About
I’m Karel Pelckmans, Managing Consultant at Wortell, where I lead the Cloud & AI Platforms Consulting team across Belgium and the Netherlands. I’m also a Microsoft Certified Trainer.
My team onboards customers onto Wortell’s managed Workplace & Cloud services, runs improvement projects on existing environments, and handles migrations — including tenant-to-tenant moves. In practice that means a lot of Microsoft Entra ID and Intune: moving users, devices and workloads between tenants, untangling hybrid identity, and making Conditional Access do what people think it does.
I spend as much time on the design and the decisions as on the clicks, so expect posts about both.
This site is where I write down what I learn in the field: the things that aren’t in the documentation, or that are, but three clicks deeper than anyone looks.
Topics: Entra, Intune, security, and the practical side of AI in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Away from the keyboard
When I’m not in a tenant, I’m usually in a galaxy far, far away — or some other fantasy world. Star Wars is the constant, but I’ll happily get lost in any good fantasy series, on screen or on paper. And then there’s Lego: building something brick by brick, following the plan until you decide not to, is surprisingly close to a good migration. The difference is that Lego comes with complete instructions.
Everything here reflects my own opinion, not Wortell’s. Examples come from lab tenants, never from customer environments.
